Who is Brian Chichi? Brian grew up in Brooklyn, New York, in a small area called Sheepshead Bay. He went to Our Lady of Grace, a Catholic elementary school on Avenue W and East 2nd Street. Brian is one of five children born and raised in an Italian American family. He went to John Dewey High School a new experimental public high school based on the teaching of John Dewey, an educator and philosopher who believed that children learn at different rates and if they love a subject they should be allowed to learn as much as they can, as fast as they can. He was very wise. Brian loved art and excelled in it. He had a natural talent inherited from his mother and learned all that John Dewey High School and the wonderful teachers could teach him. He enrolled in special summer school programs at colleges like Pratt College, Cooper Union and The Brooklyn Museum of Art School where he learned Photography, Print making , Life drawing, Stained Glass, Sculpture and Welding. His passion and talent won him one of twelve full scholarships to The School of Visual Arts (SVA) in New York City . He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree (BFA). While in college he worked for Plenum Publishing in New York City and became a skilled graphic artist.

Brian dreamed of riding a motorcycle to California and oil painting his way across the USA. After he graduated SVA he rode his 1974 Harley Davidson FLH across the USA like he dreamed. When he got to Southern California he decided to stay and there is where he lives today. He still rides a Harley and still loves to paint and draw. Southern California is where he calls home.
